Job Description:

A £40m revenue services business, recently acquired by a leading Private Equity fund, is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to support the business through a critical post-deal phase.

Working closely with the CEO, investors, and senior leadership team, the Interim CFO will take ownership of post-deal financial due diligence, stabilisation, and the delivery of a robust 100-day plan. Operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment, this role requires a hands-on finance leader with strong technical capability and the ability to quickly assess, prioritise, and execute across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead post-deal financial due diligence activities, including validation of financial assumptions and identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Own and deliver the 100-day plan from a finance perspective, aligning with investor expectations and value creation objectives.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives across the business, improving efficiency and driving sustainable margin enhancement.
  • Establish robust financial reporting, forecasting, and KPI frameworks.
  • Improve cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and financial controls.
  • Partner with the CEO and PE stakeholders to provide strategic financial insight and support decision-making.
  • Assess and strengthen the finance function, including team capability, systems, and processes.
  • Drive budgeting and reforecasting processes in line with new ownership expectations.

To Be Suitable

  • Proven experience as an Interim CFO within Private Equity-backed businesses.
  • Strong track record of delivering post-deal value creation, including 100-day planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost reduction, restructuring, or margin improvement programmes.
  • Deep experience in financial due diligence, reporting, and controls improvement.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Experience within services or similar sectors preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with investors and boards.
  • Immediately available or able to start at short notice.

This is a high-impact opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial and operational trajectory of a PE-backed business at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.
