£13.45 per hour.
Full‑time position until 1 January 2027, may be extended.
42 hours per week, 4‑on‑4‑off pattern: days and nights.
Drive required. No public transport.
SIA licence required.
Corporate security site with a large financial sector client.
Job Overview
- Protect the client’s property, people, and assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and changes.
- Meet or exceed the key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, taking full responsibility and accountability, and provide a service that aids in retaining the contract.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
Operations
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies, UK law, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published AI’s.
- Proactively review the published AI’s, familiarising oneself with changes and suggesting amendments that improve or enhance the current level of service.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Training
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continuous professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security & Health & Safety
- Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce the risk of disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative, immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident for the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the AI’s.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
