Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Senior Design Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Portsmouth on an initial 12 months contract. The rate per hour: £42.08 per hour inside IR35 / umbrella.
Role
- Undertake a defined range of detail design activities in line with all relevant processes and quality.
- Provide requirements of Mechanical/Piping design package and reports for Installation solutions on Legacy Warships.
- Supply advice and support to operations and other functions and/or organise and co‑ordinate aspects of detail design activity, ensuring defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements.
Skills
- Exchange complex engineering design information at Design Reviews.
- AutoCAD/Inventor design experience and ability to produce detailed manufacturing & assembly drawings.
- Understanding of detailed system and technical engineering drawings, including manufacturing drawings with knowledge of projection layouts, scaling & tolerancing.
- Knowledge of ship system engineering drawings such as diagrammatic, piping isometrics and ship systems materials and equipment (symbols).
