Group Accountant

Location: Dundee (with hybrid flexibility)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE + benefits

We’re working with a privately owned investment business with a diverse portfolio across the UK and internationally. The organisation operates across sectors including property, drinks, and hospitality, and is seeking a qualified accountant to support its continued growth.

This is a broad, hands‑on role offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to take ownership of financial processes across multiple entities. It provides a unique chance to join a growing and entrepreneurial business with real breadth and visibility, working closely with senior leadership while playing a key role in supporting both financial control and commercial activity across the group.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day finance function across a number of group companies, while also supporting commercial decision‑making and operational activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and reconciling financial records across multiple entities (Xero)
  • Producing and managing a detailed weekly cashflow forecast, including reforecasting
  • Coordinating weekly supplier payment runs for approval
  • Submitting VAT returns and overseeing compliance
  • Managing payroll processes
  • Liaising regularly with internal teams and external stakeholders across the portfolio
  • Supporting budgeting and tracking project spend vs. actuals
  • Raising and issuing invoices to tenants and related parties
  • Responding to ad hoc requests from senior leadership
  • Supporting with operational tasks such as insurance renewals
  • Assisting with basic HR administration (e.g. contracts, holiday tracking)

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years’ post‑qualification experience
  • Experience in property, manufacturing, hospitality, or a multi‑entity environment preferred
  • Strong Excel and systems skills (Xero experience advantageous)
  • Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with non‑finance stakeholders
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to get involved across the business
