M&A Director | Clear Route to Partnership

A growing national deals team is looking to hire an M&A Director to play a central role in its next phase of expansion.

This is not a “steady state” role. The focus here is on growth, both for the practice and for the individual. You’ll be expected to contribute to origination, build relationships and help shape the direction of the team, not just deliver transactions.

There is a clear and realistic route to Partnership for someone who wants to step into a leadership position and is motivated by building something.

The role

You’ll work across a range of mid-market transactions, taking responsibility for delivery while also being part of the growth agenda.

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side deals end-to-end
  • Build relationships with clients, intermediaries and referrers
  • Support and drive business development activity
  • Work closely with senior leadership on strategy and growth
  • Mentor and develop junior team members

What they’re looking for

  • Strong M&A / Corporate Finance experience, likely at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director level
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role and able to build credibility quickly
  • Someone who wants exposure to origination, not just execution
  • Commercial mindset and interest in growing a practice
  • Professional qualification is helpful, but not essential
