This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
Marie Curie is the UK's leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they're likely to die from.
The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
We want a different society than the one we live in now. Our mission for the next five years is to close the gap in the number of people missing out on what they need at the end-of-life, through 3 ways:
We are now seeking an experienced Head of Nursing & Quality to provide senior clinical leadership for Marie Curie Bradford Hospice, ensuring outstanding standards of care, strong clinical governance and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
This is a high impact leadership role, offering a hybrid working arrangement with a regular presence at our Bradford Hospice and close collaboration with regional and national clinical leaders.
As Head of Nursing & Quality, you will hold professional accountability for nursing practice, patient safety, clinical governance and quality improvement across the hospice. You will play a critical role in driving excellence, supporting teams through change, and ensuring services are safe, caring, effective, responsive and well led.
You will:
Salary: £64,500 - £72,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time - 35 hours per week
Based: Hybrid - Home & Marie Curie Bradford Hospice
You will be a Registered Nurse (NMC) with substantial senior leadership experience within complex healthcare environments, ideally including hospice, palliative care, community or acute settings.
We're looking for someone who brings:
Experience in end of life or hospice care is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
We will honor any length of service with the NHS in relation to salary and annual leave entitlement!
