What You’ll Be Doing
This role is centred around hands-on data work applied to real financial crime problems. From day one, you’ll be working on live projects, using data to uncover and prevent illicit activity.
- Data Engineering & Analysis – Work with large, complex financial datasets; extract, transform, and analyse data to identify suspicious behaviour and risk patterns
- Machine Learning & AI – Build and support models designed to detect fraud, money laundering, and other financial crime risks
- Financial Crime Use Cases – Apply your work across areas such as transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and sanctions screening
- Data Wrangling & Tooling – Use tools such as Python, SQL, and other data/analytics platforms (not limited to these) to process and interrogate data at scale
- Turning Insight into Action – Work alongside risk and compliance teams to ensure data insights translate into real-world outcomes
The Role
As a Consultant / Senior Consultant you will:
- Deliver projects across fraud, AML, sanctions, and financial crime analytics
- Support or lead the development of data models and analytical solutions
- Contribute to live client engagements from an early stage, gaining hands-on delivery experience
At Senior level, you will also:
- Own workstreams and key deliverables
- Engage directly with stakeholders and support client relationships
- Mentor and support more junior team members
Your Profile
We are open to candidates across levels, but you should have:
- Experience or strong interest in data, analytics, or financial crime
- Experience with data tools such as Python, SQL, or similar technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Note: Python and SQL are commonly used, but candidates with experience in other relevant tools, platforms, or programming languages are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience delivering projects in financial crime, risk, or data analytics
- Confidence working with clients and taking ownership of delivery
