Overview
Waverley Education Foundation (WEF) is a Multi Academy Trust operating Waverley School and Waverley Studio College. WEF has over 1900 pupils on roll across the trust and delivers services that support learning, leadership and management to improve outcomes for children and young people.
Role: Head of Subject - Food Technology – Full Time. Start Date: September 2026 or sooner. Salary: MPS/UPS Pay Scale + TLR 2A + R&R for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding teaching and leadership within Food Technology across KS3/KS4/KS5 to support high standards of attainment and progress.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and assessment practices across the department.
- Foster strong working relationships within the Science team and across the Trust.
- Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives to raise standards.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Excellent track record of teaching and student progress within a secondary school setting.
- Experience using a variety of approaches to continually enhance teaching for a full age and ability range (KS3/KS4/KS5).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships within the department and Trust.
- Meeting the requirements of the person specification and being eligible for an enhanced DBS check.
