Job Description
We're looking for an Oracle Fusion HCM Technical Architect to implement and support data conversion with expertise in HDL & BIP in Core HR, Absence and Payroll modules for UK public sector clients. The candidate must have expert knowledge of UK payroll processes and proven experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud, guiding projects through the SDLC and translating complex solutions for diverse audiences.
Your Role
As an Oracle Fusion HCM Consultant, you will provide impactful solutions to our clients. Your focus will be on the implementation and ongoing support of Oracle Fusion HCM modules, specifically Absence Management and Payroll for the UK public sector, with a special emphasis on data migration and report development. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of all UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes, backed by practical experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud in the UK public sector. You will lead client engagements, discussing integrations, data migrations, and reporting across relevant modules, and translate complex technical solutions into clear insights for technical teams, business stakeholders and senior management. You will guide projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring smooth delivery and optimal system performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the implementation of Oracle Fusion HCM, focusing on Absence, Core HR and Payroll modules for UK clients, especially data conversion and report development.
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in all aspects of UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes.
- Apply hands‑on experience in Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud, particularly within the UK public sector.
- Conduct System Integration Testing, support User Acceptance testing, Payroll Parallel Reconciliation (PPR) and hyper‑care support.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulas, and Payroll Batch Loader.
- Effectively discuss complex technology solutions with diverse audiences, including technical, business and management teams, and walk through Business Process Specification documents, Configuration Workbooks, Testing and Change Requests.
- Lead customer discussions related to integrations, data migrations and reports for Payroll, Core HR, Absence and other relevant modules.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of the full SDLC, including Conference Room pilots (CRPs), playback sessions, training content preparation and execution.
Required
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience implementing Oracle Fusion HCM for Absence, Core HR and Payroll modules for UK clients.
- Proficiency in all UK Payroll, Pension and Absence processes.
- Hands‑on experience working on Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud for UK public sector clients.
- Knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HDL, HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulae, and Payroll Batch Loader.
- Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse teams (technical, business, management).
- Ability to lead discussions with customer teams for integrations, data migrations and reports related to Payroll, Core HR and Absence.
- Knowledge and experience with the full SDLC lifecycle.
- Preparation of status reports with RAG, highlighting risks and mitigations and maintaining a RAID log.
