Job Description:

Overview

As a Project Control Officer you will support the delivery of project plans and objectives, ensuring projects are set up accurately and maintained throughout the life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Use robust version controls for file management.
  • Organise and minute key meetings and provide high-quality secretariat support.
  • Monitor relevant spend, contribute to budgets, and keep invoicing and re-profiling up to date.
  • Maintain project controls and produce accurate and timely reports.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of risk and issue logs.
  • Raise requisitions, work on purchase orders, and exchange billing and cost-management information with colleagues.
  • Ensure closure activities are completed in accordance with commercial process requirements.

Qualifications

  • PRINCE2 or an equivalent qualification would be desirable.
  • Experience working in a government department or an organisation of similar size and complexity.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Project and requisitioning via an Oracle system.
  • Experience analysing data and providing recommendations for the best course of action.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise and schedule workload.
  • Capability to develop positive relationships with customers, service providers and suppliers.
  • Security clearance (SC) required.
