The Role
We are working with a PE backed Telco business who are seeking a sharp, analytically-minded Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team for a high-impact, 6-month project. This role is designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy, specifically focusing on supporting commercial analysis and contract negotiations within our fast-paced Telco environment.
You will be the bridge between finance and their commercial teams, ensuring that our contracts are not just legally sound, but financially optimized for growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Modeling: Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate the viability of new commercial contracts and partnership agreements.
- Contract Support: Provide data-driven insights during contract negotiations, highlighting financial risks and opportunities.
- Project Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis on existing revenue streams and cost structures to identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Decision Support: Prepare high-level summaries and “what-if” scenarios for senior stakeholders to guide strategic commercial pivots.
- Post-Deal Review: Assist in the implementation phase of new contracts to ensure financial KPIs are being tracked and met.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong Transactional Services (TS) or Corporate Finance background.
Required Experience & Skills
- Professional Qualification: ACA, CIMA, or ACCA (or equivalent experience).
- Background: Experience in Transactional Services (Big 4 or Mid-Tier) or a similar fast-paced commercial finance role is highly preferred.
- Telco Exposure: Previous experience within the Telecommunications or Tech-Infrastructure sector is a significant advantage.
