Job Purpose
ICE Clear Europe’s Clearing Risk Department ("CRD") is looking for a front‑office senior risk analyst. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic risk team, assisting senior risk managers in overseeing and shaping risk management practices at one of the largest futures and options clearing houses in the world. The role involves exposure to a wide range of asset classes and handling complex risk problems.
Job Description
The role requires full‑time day‑to‑day risk management duties, including developing and implementing enhancements to risk tools, models, processes, and participating in new risk initiatives and products that benefit the business.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor market and collateral risks in real time, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Conduct mathematical and statistical analysis to calibrate and enhance risk models.
- Ensure the risk management framework and policies are followed, consistent with regulatory and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve risk models, processes, and infrastructure.
- Enhance documentation of risk processes, procedures, and models.
- Communicate with clearing members, risk committees, and senior management of ICE.
- Monitor model performance tests and assess model appropriateness to demonstrate policy adherence.
- Conduct project work and run thematic or ad‑hoc market research on relevant risk topics.
Knowledge And Experience
- Degree in Business, Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related numerical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to balance trade‑offs.
- Prior experience in risk management as an analyst or in a related role at an investment bank, hedge fund, or clearing house.
- Strong knowledge of financial derivatives across multiple asset classes.
- Experience applying risk models and techniques such as Value at Risk, Liquidity Risk, backtesting, and stress testing.
- Team‑player qualities and the ability to collaborate with other teams.
- Strong analytical and independent problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SQL and Python is preferred.
