Speciality Doctor (ND) Fife CAMHS (LW)

Overview

We are seeking a Specialist Doctor in Psychiatry to work 10 sessions per week in Fife CAMHS, focusing on neurodevelopmental disorders. The role is split into two distinct parts: 5 sessions in the ADHD Tier 3 service and 5 sessions in the WEST CAMHS Core Team. The base location will be at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, with occasional travel to Kirkcaldy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical care for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders as part of the ADHD Tier 3 and WEST CAMHS services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with paediatricians, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, child psychotherapists and dietitians.
• Provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment, including medication management, individual and group therapy.
• Support and mentor junior staff and trainee psychiatrists.
• Contribute to service development, research and quality improvement initiatives within the Neurodevelopmental Pathway.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with NHS Scotland clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in psychiatry and at least 6 months in a CAMHS setting.
• Interest and training in neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Capacity to undertake portfolio training for specialist registration.
