Prime Nurture Services are working in partnership with a Therapeutic Children’s Home in Stoke on Trent who are seeking to recruit a full time, permanent Ofsted Registered Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate individual to oversee the daily operations of our children’s home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a dedicated team of residential support workers.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with experience of managing children’s residential homes or an experienced Deputy Manager seeking career progression.
You will be leading a therapeutic, empowering, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and able to grow into confident and resilient young people, a home that promotes empowerment and choice, while enhancing their core skills and ability to move across the care continuum into fully independent living.
Duties:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the children’s home, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual Childs’ needs, including ensuring all placement plans are kept up to date.
- Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
- Ensure the home recruits suitable and experienced staff when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards in accordance with Ofsted.
- Monitor young people’s wellbeing and respond promptly to any concerns or incidents.
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to each child’s care, staff rotas, and regulatory reports.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support to children
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and resident satisfaction.
- Share on call duties with the deputy manager outside of core hours
Requirements:
- Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare (required)
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management for CYPS and Ofsted registration (Desirable)
- Proven experience in children’s residential management, ideally within an Ofsted registered home.
- Strong background within management with relevant qualifications recognised by regulatory bodies.
- Extensive knowledge of the Children’s Home Act and Quality Standards
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to complex needs.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year plus yearly Bonus
