We are seeking an experienced ENT Consultant with a specialist interest in Thyroid surgery to support adult elective activity at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
This role is focused on day case adult thyroid surgery, delivered through dedicated weekend operating lists.
Main duties of the job
Role Requirements
- Substantive ENT Consultant on the GMC Specialist Register
- Specialist interest and significant experience in thyroid surgery
- Must be on the BAETS register
- Evidence of over 100 independently performed thyroid cases (assisted or supervised cases will not be accepted)
- Experience managing adult elective thyroid surgery
- Ability to deliver day case surgical lists safely and efficiently
- Comfortable managing lists of approximately 12 patients per day
- Willing and able to work weekend operating lists (Saturday and Sunday)
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with theatre and MDT colleagues
- Commitment to Trust clinical governance, patient safety, and professional standards
