We’re looking for an experienced ITU Staff Nurse to join the Critical Care team at The Harborne Hospital, HCA Healthcare UK’s newest, purpose‑built private hospital and our 4th NHS Joint Venture. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility designed to deliver exceptional patient care and support your professional development.
The Harborne Hospital is a 50‑bed, multi‑specialty site offering advanced clinical infrastructure, cutting‑edge technology, and a contemporary working environment. Our brand‑new 6‑bedded Intensive Care Unit supports a wide range of complex surgical pathways, including Cardiothoracic, Hepatobiliary, Neuro and Spinal, and Colorectal Robotic Surgery. You’ll work closely with leading consultants from across the Birmingham region, caring for high‑acuity patients and contributing to a service built on excellence, safety, and compassion.
As a ITU Staff Nurse, you’ll join a close‑knit and supportive team of experienced Critical Care Nurses who value collaboration, fairness, and continuous learning. With guidance from two Charge Nurses and an experienced Line Manager, you’ll have the autonomy to lead shifts, support junior colleagues, and use your clinical expertise to manage complex cases confidently.

Being part of a large multisite, established healthcare group we can offer you unrivalled opportunities for career progression through internal and external courses, as well as working conditions that prioritise both your mental and physical wellbeing.
We believe everyone should feel comfortable to bring their full self to work and be afforded the same opportunities. As a Disability Confident committed organisation, we’re happy to discuss flexible working arrangements to suit your needs as well as offer reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process, and in the workplace, to anyone that needs them.
