Fire Alarm Engineer in Reading

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fire & Security Engineer (multi‑skilled or fire‑biased with a desire to become multi‑skilled). This role involves the installation, servicing, and maintenance of a wide range of fire detection and security systems. You will be part of a supportive team covering Reading and the surrounding areas, with full training and ongoing development provided to expand your skills across both fire and security disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarm, AOV, disabled refuge, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm systems and extinguishers & fire blankets as a Fire & Security Engineer.
• Carry out fault finding and repairs across multiple systems.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Participate in an on‑call rota (overtime available).
• Deliver a high standard of customer service.
• Complete documentation accurately using provided systems.

Requirements

• Experience working with fire and/or security systems (fire‑biased engineers encouraged to apply).
• Willingness to become multi‑skilled (training provided).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
