Job Title: Senior Process Engineer – Water

Location: Falmer (hybrid working + site visits, driving licence is required)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time

Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on skills and experience

About the Role

Southern Water is currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their water Process Engineering Team based in Brighton. Working as part of a dynamic and multiskilled team, you will provide technical support in producing design deliverables on water treatment projects and supporting site operations.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Produce process calculations, control philosophies, process flow diagrams, process and performance specifications, P&IDs, compliance and commissioning plans.
• Lead innovative process solutions that contribute to TOTEX efficiencies.
• Provide expertise in improving site performance, support commissioning activities, implement optimisation measures and troubleshoot water treatment plants.
• Mentor junior process engineers.
• Analyse data to evaluate existing asset performance and develop process solutions.

What You’ll Bring To the Role

• MEng/BEng/BSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (ideal).
• Proven experience delivering water projects and site operation support for UK Water Companies.
• Background in water/consultancy.
• Strong analytical and performance evaluation skills.
