About the Role
Based at a large, chilled foods manufacturer, you will be part of a multiskilled engineering team responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance across the site. Reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager, you will help minimise downtime and disruptions to production. The site is commutable from Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley, Goole, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and disruptions to production.
- Ensure all planned maintenance is carried out to a high standard.
- Proactively look for long‑term engineering solutions to recurring issues, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Work closely with production teams to improve reliability.
About You
We're looking for an apprentice trained engineer, either electrically or mechanically biased, with the following background.
Qualifications
- Experience of working in an engineering maintenance role in a food, drink, or FMCG production environment.
- A team player, willing to share knowledge and experience with the rest of the team.
- PLC fault‑finding skills (for electrically biased engineers).
- 18th Edition certification would be an advantage.
