An exciting opportunity is available for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation working on advanced, next-generation systems. This role sits within a high-profile programme focused on integrating complex electrical equipment into a sophisticated platform.

Location: Bristol

Working Model: Hybrid working (2 to 3 days onsite per week)

The Role

  • Act as the key technical interface between system-level engineering teams and equipment suppliers
  • Ensure electrical compatibility and integration across subsystems and overall system architecture
  • Translate high-level system requirements into clear electrical and interface specificationsSupport integration, verification, and acceptance of electrical equipment within the wider system
  • Define and manage electrical requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead technical reviews and engage with suppliers across key delivery milestones
  • Monitor delivery against cost, schedule, and performance targets
  • Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and certification requirements
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering and integration within complex products
  • Experience working with requirements at system, subsystem, or equipment level
  • Background in electrical integration, power systems, or equipment design
  • Experience working with external suppliers or managing technical work packages
  • Familiarity with verification, validation, and certification processes
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information and influence decisions
  • Experience producing technical documentation and working within structured environments
  • Practical understanding of electrical systems, including interfaces, wiring, and power distribution
