In this role, you will:
- Demonstrate Samsara’s products and platform capabilities in person, via webinar, or at industry events.
- Facilitate live proof‑of‑concept trials, including hardware installation in vehicles or equipment.
- Work closely with Product Management and other teams to help evolve the platform.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
- Identify and eliminate sales obstacles with creative, adaptive solutions.
- Partner with account executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
- Discover customer processes, translate needs into trusted advisory insights, and match solutions to pain points.
- Contribute to team enablement, internal communications, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles—focus on customer success, build long‑term value, adopt a growth mindset, be inclusive, and win as a team.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 5+ years of customer‑facing roles, including 3+ years of pre‑sales experience.
- Experience with enterprise sales cycles or equivalent.
- Consistent track record selling complex solutions.
- Strong execution of discovery, proof of value, and technical win.
- Understanding of value selling and frameworks such as MEDDICC and Command of the Message.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Hands‑on experience with customer evaluations and deployments.
- Expertise in one of the following: cloud software, IoT, networking, SaaS, automation, or control systems.
- Experience with integration projects, including RESTful APIs; scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with IoT hardware, vehicles, or general tinkering is a plus.
- Background in fleet, logistics, supply chain, telematics, manufacturing, or general operations is a plus.
