The Lead Generation Internship is open to recent or upcoming graduates of the University of Sheffield and involves delivering student recruitment activity across the North of England and occasionally in the South of England. The role supports the university’s mission to raise awareness of Sheffield early in prospective students’ journeys and to increase applications through engagement and relationship‑building.
Responsibilities
- Represent Sheffield at recruitment events for both undergraduate (schools, colleges, careers fairs, UCAS exhibitions) and postgraduate (FindAMasters fairs), providing advice and insight while capturing leads.
- Travel across the North of England, with occasional travel to the South of England.
- Hold a full UK driving licence, be confident driving long distances, and be comfortable with overnight stays; work‑related expenses are covered.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to prospective students and act as a positive role model.
- Collaborate with the Student Recruitment Manager and Officers to deliver the UK recruitment strategy using face‑to‑face and digital methods.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver short‑term projects in partnership with colleagues across MARC.
- Assist in the recruitment, training and deployment of Student Ambassadors who support recruitment activities.
- Work with the Access Team to embed appropriate messaging into Lead Generation activities.
- Manage risks, including safeguarding and driving requirements, and complete an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training.
- Carry out other duties as required, including on‑campus events such as open days throughout the year and on weekends.

- Essential: Honours degree or equivalent;: graduated from the University of Sheffield in the last two years or expected to graduate summer 2026.

- Essential: Enhanced DBS check required, along with safeguarding training.
