Senior Research Scientist | HealthTech | AI/ML | London Hybrid | £95K + bonus + equity

I’m partnered with a founder-led HealthTech business hiring a Senior Research Scientist into their London team. They’re building AI-powered products that help uncover the behavioural drivers behind health outcomes, and this hire will play a key role in that journey. It’s a business with real momentum, strong purpose and a genuinely lovely culture, but they need someone who can operate at pace and thrive in a high-performance environment. The role is based in London with 2 days a week in the Holborn office.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys owning complex research end to end. You’ll sit at the intersection of behavioural science, data science and applied research, leading analytical workstreams across a flagship UK youth wellbeing programme. The work spans research design, quantitative modelling, narrative analysis, LLM‑led approaches and turning complex data into clear recommendations that drive real-world decisions.

The role will involve:

• Leading the research strategy and analytical roadmap across quantitative, qualitative and AI-enabled workstreams
• Designing and delivering advanced analysis across behavioural, mental health and wellbeing datasets
• Applying NLP, LLMs and statistical methods to structured and unstructured data
• Translating outputs into clear, actionable insights for partners and stakeholders
• Working cross‑functionally to deliver high‑quality, rigorous research in a fast‑moving environment

They’re looking for strong ML experience alongside a solid grounding in Azure and Databricks.

You’ll likely come from a research science, behavioural science, public health, data science or adjacent background, with strong Python and/or R, experience working with complex datasets, and the ability to operate with both technical depth and scientific rigour. The brief also calls for experience across NLP, LLMs, mixed‑methods analysis and full ownership of the analytical workflow.

The package is up to £95K base, plus bonus and equity.
