Overview
Procurement Systems Specialist required on a temporary 6 month contract based in Ormskirk for a global leading manufacturing business. The role will be part of a Procurement 'Centre of Excellence' team supporting a Global Procurement Category and Regional team, working with cross‑functional teams on projects and performing analysis tasks for the Indirect Critical Category.
Responsibilities
- Design and document standard processes for the use of procurement systems.
- Implement standard procurement systems across all areas of procurement.
- Develop standardized systems training for all procurement staff.
- Support and manage digital transformation projects from evaluation through to implementation.
- Assist procurement users in the use of systems.
- Measure performance against compliance targets set in objectives.
- Maintain key data in procurement systems.
- Travel overseas as required.
Qualifications
- Experience working with systems and digital applications; experience with SAP and Ariba is advantageous.
- Experience of change management.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and process oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong awareness of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG).
