Job Summary

South Derbyshire is one of the fastest growing areas in the country, located to the south of Derby. The planning team is looking for a new role to provide a visible planning service by ensuring information is readily available and easily accessible to all customers. The ideal candidate has experience in planning and IT, with strong document and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of Planning Technicians.
  • Responsible for the department’s software, ensuring systems meet the needs of the service and customers.
  • Monitor and manage the work of the wider team.
  • Commit to continuous improvement of service delivery and partnership working.

Requirements

  • Experience in planning and IT.
  • Document and project management skills.
