Warehouse Operative / Relief Driver
Looking for a hands-on role with variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to be part of a busy warehouse operation? We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Operative / Relief Driver to join our team.
This role involves occasional (1-2 per month) early starts and late home deliveries across Ireland, including handling heavy and bulky equipment.
Location: Belfast
Pay Rate: £13.73 per hour
Duration: Temporary to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:15am to 4:30pm
In this varied role, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting goods coming in and out of the warehouse (strong attention to detail required)
- Picking, assembling, and packing orders accurately
- Labelling goods correctly
- Inputting consignments onto carriers' websites
- Acting as relief driver for multi-drop deliveries (3.5t van)
- Conducting stock checks and stock taking
- Completing daily and monthly warehouse checks
- Assembling flat-packed equipment
- Maintaining daily housekeeping standards
- Adhering to company Health & Safety procedures
- Carrying out any other duties as required
Essential:
- Applicants must be aged 25 or over for vehicle insurance purposes
- Full licence to drive a 3.5t van
- Valid Counterbalance licence
- Good IT skills (Excel, Word, scanning to Business Central accounting system)
- Accurate data input and output skills (Business Central experience desirable)
- Manual handling capability
- Flexibility with working hours when required
Desirable:
- ADR (Hazardous Chemical Transport) certification
