Job Description:

Special Projects Manager

London

Up to £80k

We’re looking for an exceptional generalist to join a high-growth D2C business in a flexible, high-impact role working directly across the company.

This is not a fixed-lane job. It’s designed for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and wants to operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and AI-enabled growth.

The role

You’ll work closely with senior leadership on high-priority initiatives across the business. One week you might be improving internal processes or implementing new tools; the next you could be supporting retention or e-commerce initiatives, testing growth ideas, or exploring how AI can unlock new efficiencies or capabilities.

We’re looking for someone who can step into undefined areas, quickly understand what matters, and drive meaningful progress.

What you’ll do

• Lead and execute special projects across multiple functions

• Support growth initiatives across retention, e-commerce, and commercial strategy

• Identify and implement ways to use AI and automation to improve speed, output, and decision-making

• Explore creative applications of AI (content, testing, scaling output)

• Improve internal processes and help the company stay lean and efficient

• Bring structure, clarity, and momentum to ambiguous, high-priority problems

What we’re looking for

• High-agency, curious, and proactive — someone who naturally takes ownership

• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving environments

• Strong problem-solving skills paired with hands-on execution

• Genuine interest in AI tools and experimenting with new ways of working

• Clear communicator with good judgment and commercial awareness

• Adaptable, low ego, and excited to work across functions

Backgrounds that could fit

We’re open-minded, but strong profiles might come from:

• Consulting (especially those wanting to move into an operating role)

• Startup / scale-up operators

• Product, growth, or generalist roles

• E-commerce or retention-focused positions

• AI-forward builders or experimenters

• Creative operators using AI in commercially valuable ways
