We are seeking an experienced “Senior Endur Solution Architect” to lead the design and delivery of strategic Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) solutions within a global commodities trading environment. This role will be central to shaping a modern, scalable, and secure Endur ecosystem, driving transformation across front-to-back trading capabilities.
You will play a key role in defining enterprise architecture, modernising legacy platforms, enabling cloud adoption, and building a future-ready technology landscape around Openlink Endur. Key Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership & Solution Design
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for strategic Endur and trading technology initiatives.
- Define scalable, resilient, and secure architecture patterns for global ETRM platforms.
- Lead architecture decisions across multiple programmes and portfolios.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical designs.
- Provide governance across solution delivery, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards.
- Review and approve detailed solution designs and implementation approaches.
- Support architecture boards, governance forums, and technical steering committees.
- Mentor engineers, analysts, and delivery teams through design and implementation phases.
Endur Platform Ownership
- Lead architecture and optimisation of Openlink Endur platforms.
- Design solutions across front, middle, and back-office trading functions.
- Drive Endur integration with surrounding enterprise systems including risk, finance, logistics, settlements, and market data platforms.
- Define best practices across Endur services, managers, TPM, APM, grid architecture, domain services, and operations services.
- Support upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and strategic platform roadmaps.
Cloud & Modernisation Strategy
- Architect cloud-native trading solutions using Azure or AWS.
- Lead migration of legacy on-premise platforms into modern cloud environments.
- Design microservices, container platforms, event-driven architectures, and API ecosystems.
- Enable DevOps, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
Data & Integration Architecture
- Define modern trading data architecture and enterprise integration models.
- Build solutions leveraging data lakes, streaming platforms, real-time events, and analytics platforms.
- Design low-latency and high-volume data flows for trading environments.
- Ensure strong data governance, lineage, privacy, retention, and security controls.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business leaders, traders, risk teams, operations, and technology stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build consensus across competing priorities and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Influence strategic roadmaps and investment decisions.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to trading platforms.
- Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and efficiency.
- Drive engineering excellence, standards adoption, and reusable solution patterns.
Required Experience
Domain Expertise
- Extensive experience within commodities trading, energy trading, or capital markets technology.
- Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle from deal capture through settlement.
- Strong knowledge of physical and/or financial trading operations.
- Significant hands-on expertise with Openlink Endur.
