Project Finance Controller

Robert Half is working with a global business in Glasgow. This role is office-based 2–3 days per week.

Overview:

A senior finance role providing end-to-end financial oversight on a large, complex programme. Ideal for experienced project accountants seeking a visible and strategic position with cross-functional exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with programme leadership to monitor costs, risks, and financial performance.
• Produce forecasts, budgets, and consolidated reporting for large multi-year programmes.
• Support project managers with cost analysis, savings initiatives, and commercial insights.
• Lead month-end reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Act as primary contact for internal and external audits and compliance reporting.

Requirements:

• Fully-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with extensive project accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of long-term contracts, cost-to-completion analysis, and commercial accounting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Excel; ERP and planning tools experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, complex environment.
