The Role

We are seeking a proactive, can-do individual to take on the pivotal role of Marketing, Admissions & School Operations Manager. This is a hybrid role designed for a versatile professional who can lead the school’s external growth strategies while ensuring the internal heartbeat of the school, the front office, runs with efficiency and warmth.

You will be the face of the school for prospective families and the first point of contact for our current community. We are looking for an entrepreneurial all-rounder who can balance creative marketing campaigns with the organised, fast-paced demands of school administration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing & Communications

  • Strategy: Develop and implement the annual marketing strategy alongside the Leadership Team, using data and research to drive pupil recruitment.
  • Digital Presence: Manage all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), creating engaging real-time content, reels, and stories that showcase daily school life.
  • Content Creation: Design and produce high-quality digital and print materials, maintaining a consistent brand identity.
  • Website: Manage and update the school website, ensuring it is SEO-optimized and current.
  • Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand guardian, ensuring the school’s ethos is clearly articulated across all platforms.

2. Admissions & Enrollment

  • Parent Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for prospective families, guiding them from initial enquiry to enrollment.
  • Tours & Events: Lead school tours and taster sessions; plan and deliver Open Days and promotional events.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records within the school’s CRM and MIS (iSAMS/SIMS), reporting on KPIs and conversion trends.
  • Community Outreach: Build relationships with feeder nurseries, local agents, and the wider community.

3. School Office & Operations

  • Front of House: Provide a welcoming, professional environment for visitors, staff, and pupils.
  • Administration: Support the daily running of the school office, including word processing, data entry, and managing conflicting deadlines and interruptions.
  • Communication: Coordinate internal communications to ensure current parents are well-informed.
  • Compliance: Assist with the administration of school policies, safeguarding records, and general health and safety procedures.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: Educated to GCSE level (English & Maths Grades A*-C or equivalent).
  • Essential: Proven experience in marketing, admissions, or high-level administration.
  • Preferred: Experience within an independent school environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with school systems (iSAMS, SIMS, or HubSpot) and website management.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills with an eye for detail.
  • Technical: Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and proficiency in content creation (design, photography, or video).
  • Organization: Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a busy office environment.
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of child protection legislation (or a willingness to undergo immediate training).
