Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Solutions Architect based in the City of Bristol, with flexibility for remote work. The Solutions Architect will design and implement robust and scalable technical solutions, provide consulting services to clients, collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business requirements, and lead integration efforts. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across modern application architectures, cloud platforms, and enterprise integration patterns, along with strong domain exposure in Financial Services and/or Healthcare.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Solution Architecture, including designing scalable, efficient, and secure systems
- Expertise in Consulting with an ability to analyze client needs and provide tailored technology recommendations
- Experience in Software Development, with a focus on creating and deploying reliable applications
- Strong skills in Integration, ensuring seamless collaboration between systems and platforms
- Ability to analyze and improve Business Processes to support operational efficiency
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in cloud-based technologies or enterprise system design is a plus
Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Java/J2EE technologies and enterprise application development.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Solid experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (multi‑cloud experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, event‑driven architecture, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Knowledge of security best practices including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
