Senior Estimator – Specialist Drylining & Interiors Contractor

A fast-growing specialist subcontractor delivering high-quality drylining, ceilings, SFS, screeding and internal finishing packages across major residential, student accommodation, and commercial developments throughout London and the South East.
Established as part of a wider construction group, the business has quickly built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale new build schemes, working with leading main contractors and developers on technically demanding projects.
With a team of experienced industry professionals and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are continuing to expand their commercial and pre-construction function.
The Role
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to take ownership of pricing and tendering activities across multiple projects. This is a key position within the commercial team, responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders and supporting the business in securing high-value work.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for drylining, SFS, ceilings, and associated packages
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Producing accurate take‑offs and BOQs
- Engaging with supply chain and subcontractors for pricing input
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and risk assessment
- Working closely with the commercial and operational teams during tender handover
- Attending pre‑ and post‑tender meetings with clients and main contractors
- Supporting bid strategy and commercial decision‑making
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within drylining, interiors, or specialist subcontracting
- Strong understanding of drylining, SFS, ceilings and internal packages
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills
- Experience working on large‑scale residential or commercial new build projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in estimating software and Excel
