We’re partnering with a leading facilities management provider to appoint a Director of Operations to lead and scale a high-performing Hard FM division across a complex, multi-site portfolio. Our client has a global footprint and operates across multiple sectors, including banking, technology, government & life sciences.
This is a pivotal, executive-level role with full P&L accountability, responsible for driving operational excellence, commercial performance, and strategic growth across multiple sectors
The Role
You’ll sit at the heart of the senior leadership team, shaping operational strategy while ensuring best-in-class delivery across M&E, compliance, and asset management services. This is a visible, high-impact position requiring strong stakeholder engagement at board and client level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead national Hard FM operations across diverse, technically demanding contracts
- Own full P&L, driving margin improvement and sustainable growth
- Develop and execute operational strategy aligned to business objectives
- Build and lead high-performing regional teams and senior managers
- Strengthen client relationships at executive level, ensuring retention and expansion
- Champion safety, compliance, and engineering excellence across all sites
- Drive innovation, digitisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Proven track record in a senior Hard FM leadership role (Director / Head of Operations level)
- Experience of managing IFM delivery with a focus on hard FM
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing significant P&L (£50m+ desirable)
- Exceptional leadership capability with a focus on culture, performance, and succession
- Credible at board level with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and clients
- Experience operating within complex, large scale multi site portfolios
