Imperium Commodity Search is exclusively retained by an international Ship Brokerage & Commodity Brokerage. With over 40 years’ experience across Chartering, Finance and Risk Management, the group have expanded over 15 offices globally, becoming a household name in the Shipbrokerage sector. Over recent years the group have branched out into the Commodity markets to complement their existing business specifically within Energy asset classes.
We are currently seeking an experienced JKM/LNG/Japan Power broker to work closely with the existing Gas desk to continue their expansion into new markets. The current desk comprises a team of 8+ brokers covering TTF & European markets generating strong revenue and flows.

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, customers, suppliers, producers within the JKM, LNG, Japanese Power markets.
- Monitor and stay updated on market trends, supply, demand and geopolitical movements within the JKM, Nat Gas, LNG, Japan power markets to generate precise market reports.
- Offer customer centric execution and brokerage services across the derivative markets (Futures, Swaps, options).
- Work with senior management on growing the LNG/JKM and related markets utilizing customer relations and desk flow generated from the Nat Gas business unit.
- Attend industry events / conferences acting as the face of the business to develop and secure a name within the sector for the business.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience brokering LNG/JKM/Japan power within a IDB/FCM or similar organisation.
- Excellent knowledge of Global Gas / LNG markets with the ability to produce Market / Pricing reports for customers and third parties.
- Experience executing derivative trades (Futures, Swaps, Options) across the JKM markets.
- Personal customer portfolio across both Corporate & institutional clients within the LNG / JKM / Gas / Japan Power markets.
- Located in London (UK) or ability to relocate.
