Senior Java Developer
Location: Newcastle

This role requires work from Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.

As a Senior Java Developer, You Will
- Advocate for goodness in development practices such as consistent branching, coding standards, Test‑Driven Development, continuous integration, and continuous testing.
- Support technical leads in designing micro‑service architectures and end‑to‑end integration between components; assist test automation engineers with functional and non‑functional testing.
- Participate actively in Scrum activities—sprint backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand‑ups, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.
- Deliver features and expand capabilities across development and testing areas.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with Java 8 to 17.
- Proven background in Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
- JavaScript knowledge.
- Hands‑on Java development experience.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior developers.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
