As the Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the University’s engineering systems, plant and building services across all campuses.
Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day technical leadership and oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Ensure robust statutory compliance across the estate.
- Act as the University’s principal engineering lead for operational decision‑making, diagnosing complex technical issues and assuring contractor performance.
- Support project delivery through technical review and engineering oversight.
- Combine hands‑on engineering expertise with team management, system optimisation and data‑driven maintenance planning.
- Maintain building performance, resilience, safety and user experience to support teaching, research and professional services.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in the management of third‑party suppliers and contract management.
- Strong commercial skills and a proven track record of ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
- Hands‑on engineering expertise and experience overseeing large engineering systems.
- Experience in data‑driven maintenance planning and system optimisation.
