Our client is seeking a Principal EC&I professional to act as the Electrical Lead for RIBA Stage 3 scheme design on major nuclear‑safety‑implicated infrastructure at a naval base. You will lead a team of electrical engineers, own the technical direction for HV/LV and building‑services electrical systems, and ensure delivery aligns with programme, safety and client requirements.
The role is hybrid in Glasgow, with flexibility depending on circumstances.
What you will need
- Strong background in building services electrical design across HV, LV and comms systems
- Proven experience delivering EC&I design in regulated or safety‑critical environments
- Demonstrable capability to lead and coordinate a 5-6‑person electrical engineering team
- Experience producing technical scope, resource loading and design change documentation
- Solid understanding of RIBA 3 design, risk management, assumptions control and change governance
