The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is Hong Kong’s statutory body for promoting Hong Kong’s trade with the world. Its London Office is inviting applications for the following position: Marketing and Media Executive/Manager (on-site position at our London office). The incumbent will report to the Director, UK, Nordics & Ireland to perform the following major responsibilities in the London Office.
Job Responsibilities
1. Marketing Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of designated HKTDC roadshows and events across the UK, Nordics, and Ireland.
- Promote and recruit participants for designated HKTDC trade fairs and conferences in Hong Kong, overseeing the full recruitment cycle.
- Facilitate inbound and outbound business-matching activities and develop success stories from completed cases.
- Expand and strengthen relationships with multipliers, trade associations, and key industry contacts within the region.
- Support inbound and outbound trade missions, as well as visits by HKTDC directorates.
2. Media & Communications Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative digital marketing strategies to grow engagement and traffic across HKTDC’s UK, Nordics, and Ireland social media channels.
- Produce compelling written, visual, and video content to enhance marketing campaigns and event promotions.
- Recruit Official Journalists (OJs) and secure media barter partnerships for HKTDC’s flagship trade fairs and conferences.
- Contribute to marketing and communications initiatives within the ECAI region when required.
Job Requirements
- University degree with at least 5 years of solid experience in event management, corporate marketing, or brand management—preferably within sizable or international organisations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Proactive, independent, responsible, and highly detail‑oriented.
- Creative mindset with strong strategic thinking capabilities.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent command of English.
- Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
The successful candidate will be offered a one-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package will be offered to the right candidate.
