Asset Engineer – Built Infrastructure

Humber region – commutable from Hull, Immingham, Grimsby

£65,000 – £70,000 + Development + Progression + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Engineer to join a well-established and growing organisation, playing a key role in the management and development of critical infrastructure assets across the Humber region.

Are you a Civil or Structural Engineer with experience in infrastructure assets? Are you looking to work on large-scale, technically interesting projects with long-term career progression?

This well-established, reputable company has multiple sites across the UK and is widely regarded as a leading brand. Business has increased due to continued growth plans, and the market leader is investing heavily in its asset base. It is looking to recruit an Asset Engineer to support the lifecycle management of key built infrastructure assets, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Support lifecycle management of built infrastructure assets across the Humber region
  • Undertake and review inspections, surveys, and structural assessments
  • Identify defects, assess risk, and develop remedial work packages
  • Provide technical input into maintenance planning, investment strategies, and asset improvement projects
  • Carry out minor civil/structural design work and technical calculations
  • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective delivery

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and asset management
  • Experience with infrastructure assets such as bridges, marine structures, or heavy civil works
  • Ability to interpret technical reports, inspections, and engineering data
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., Eurocodes, CDM regulations)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
