Applications Engineer

The Role At a Glance

Biamp, a leading manufacturer of professional electronics for use in the installed audio and video communications market, is currently recruiting for a new Applications Engineer to join our highly regarded European Customer Experience team. Biamp Applications Engineers assist customers with technical questions, product and design problems, technical training, and occasional site visits. The position will require daily interaction with Biamp customers, consultants and sales representatives, dealing with a variety of complex technical issues.

How You’ll Contribute

• Provide expert and friendly technical support to Biamp’s customers by phone, email and chat
• Provide commissioning, optimization and design assistance
• Troubleshoot a range of technical issues to an advanced level, including occasional site visits
• Coordinate returns and repairs of Biamp products as needed
• Document and escalation issues to engineering or other departments as required
• Conduct customer trainings
• Test and document new products
• Contribute to Biamp’s online knowledgebase
• Assist or attend tradeshows
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

The Successful Candidate Should Have

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Audio/Video/Control Systems industry
• Relevant degree or professional qualifications desirable
• Good foundational knowledge of audiovisual systems and solutions
• Proven system design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of control and media networking
• Good technical presentation and training skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A serious and enthusiastic desire to provide reliable customer service

Work Environment

• Biamp’s UK office located in central Brighton
• Occasional travel within the UK or Europe
