Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Manager Innovation Programmes to join our Innovation team and play a critical role in the management of ongoing partnership programmes as well as the identification and development of new programmes in the UK and in the rest of Europe. In this position, you will work closely with ESA, UKSA and other European Space agencies, newspace startups and larger groups developing innovative solutions in the space domain. You will manage junior colleagues based in the UK, interact with the rest of the Innovation team based in France and collaborate with colleagues from satellite operations, engineering, finance, procurement and other internal teams. You will be directly responsible for the initiation, delivery and evolution of strategic initiatives that drive innovation across Eutelsat.
Who You Are
- You are an experienced manager in the space ecosystem, with experience of team management and internal reporting to senior management.
- You are familiar with the NewSpace ecosystem, especially in the UK.
- You have project management experience with ESA and National Space agencies on Innovation programmes.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the UK-based Innovation team.
- Oversee various ongoing programmes, including coordination with project partners and management of contract changes.
- Manage the relationship and reporting to ESA, including participation in project reviews.
- Coordinate interactions with ESA stakeholders and national Space agencies.
- Identify relevant innovation topics and potential collaborative projects for Eutelsat, including screening and evaluation of strategic partnership opportunities.
- Define and structure new partnership initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- An Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Team management skills.
- Programme management skills.
- Experience with institutional partners (ESA or similar).
- Strong communication and coordination skills across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
