Summary

Join our team at NHS Jobs as a Clinical Pharmacist, where you will play a crucial role in supervising a team of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support workers. Your responsibilities include ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient clinical pharmacy and medicines management services to a designated group of patients and service users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deputise for the Pharmacist Advanced, supervising a team for optimal performance.
• Provide medicines management, optimisation, and reconciliation services on designated wards.
• Develop and implement local policies and guidelines on good prescribing practice.
• Influence local practices to ensure safe medication use and adherence to good prescribing practices.
• Act as a point of contact for nursing and clinical staff on medicine management issues.
• Provide medicines information to healthcare professionals and conduct new drug reviews.
• Engage in activities related to clinical effectiveness, including drug use review and clinical audit.
• Support planning and implementation of service changes and new treatments.
• Act as a professional checker in the dispensary and/or chemotherapy service.
