We're looking for a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapists or Social Worker, to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service team based at Swindon CAMHS and support the delivery of our range of specialised mental health interventions.

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner you'll work within our multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical support for young people and their families at our base site and at the acute hospital via our Liaison Service and ensure a consistent, responsive, high quality and user-friendly service is delivered.

You'll have an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our exciting service modernisation and redesign, that is based on the Thrive model, ensuring children and young people get the right support, at the right time, in the right place, from the right individuals.

This post can be offered as a band 5 development post as well as a band 6 role, so if you are a qualified band 5 looking for a role with development, this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities

  • Assessment of young people including those undertaking self-harm/self-poisoning or suicidal ideation. This may be via our Liaison service or through our regular front door, the Swindon SPA.
  • Support patients by delivering interventions, attending multi-disciplinary meetings and liaising with professionals outside of CAMHS.
  • Ensure young people’s risk assessments, care plans and safety plans are kept up to date.
  • Undertake the duty worker role as per rota expectations and clinical need.
