Responsibilities and duties of the Field Service Engineer role
Reporting to the Service Manager you will:
- Provide onsite commissioning maintenanc
- Changing and Repairing industrial batteries, chargers and associated equipment
- Complete job sheets and reports on battery maintenance for submission to Norco Head office.
- Cleaning of batteries and chargers to the agreed standard.
- Identify and report additional work opportunities during site visits.
- Complete electrical testing and associated documentation.
Professional qualifications
- Strong electrical/mechanical knowledge would be an advantage although no formal qualifications are required for this post.
- Experience of working with fork lift trucks would be an advantage.
- Full training on product and equipment will be provided.
- CSCS / ECS card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay away when required (expenses paid).

- Technically skilled with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Confident in supervising others and providing guidance.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Flexible and prepared to travel to support customer needs.
- Strong in communication, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, engineers, and sales teams.
Salary and benefits
- Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum
- Door-to-door pay.
- Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 (with flexible start/finish times).
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (33 days in total).
