Working at M&S means being part of something bigger - helping to deliver quality, value and service to millions of customers every day. We're inclusive, fast-moving and always evolving, with a strong sense of purpose and a focus on doing the right thing. Here are just a few of the benefits that make working here even more rewarding:
20% colleague discount on all M&S products and many third‑party brands for you and someone in your household, available once you've completed your probation. Competitive holiday allowance with the option to buy more. Discretionary bonus schemes linked to your performance and ours. Strong pension and life assurance to help plan for the future. Tailored induction and training to support your development from day one. Exclusive perks and savings through our M&S Choices portal. Market‑leading family policies, including parental, adoption and neonatal leave. 24/7 wellbeing support, including virtual GP access and mental health services. One paid volunteer day a year to support a cause that matters to you.
To lead a team of analysts in the development of high‑quality Power BI reporting whilst owning the underlying M&S Online analyst data layer. This includes the transformation of Data Engineering supplied data and API‑driven data ingestion to enable report creation.
The role ensures M&S Online data is reliably shaped and modelled for consistent, trusted and actionable reporting insight that drive decisions on M&S's operational excellence and across the entirety of the Customer browse, purchase and return journey.
Domain specific accountabilities for automation and reporting include M&S Online Operations, D&T Product Teams, Food Digital and Brands whilst also owning M&S Online Customer/Trade via the management of highly skilled team.
This is a highly technical role that requires extensive knowledge and application of Power BI (DAX, Power Query) but also analytical languages (SQL, PySpark, Python) to build all required pipelines.
Aside from setting the general direction of development, this is an outward facing role in which collecting and interpreting requirements is key, as is playing back the final delivered products.
