About You
- You will be a time‑served multiskilled engineer with an electrical bias
- Experience working with PLCs, motor controls, wiring, pneumatics, and gearboxes
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Engineering qualifications (e.g. 17th/18th Edition, Apprenticeship, HNC/HND)
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively
- A proactive mindset — spotting issues before they escape
- Happy working a permanent nightshift Monday to Friday
About The Job
- Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective breakdown repairs
- Working with PLCs, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Supporting and contributing to engineering and improvement projects
- Writing, reviewing, and training on maintenance procedures (including LOTO)
- Raising and reviewing risk assessments
- Coordinating and managing external contractors
- Sourcing and managing spare parts (critical and non‑critical)
- Collaborating with day shift production teams to maintain safety and performance standards
