Salary: £31,500 per annum. (company van supplied for business use only)
Location: Homebased with travel throughout Scotland.
Contract: Permanent – 35 hours per week.

IT Field Engineer

If so keep reading, We are looking for an IT Field Engineer who’s a lateral thinker that can handle all kinds of situations with a practical mindset. You’ll be joining a friendly and successful small team of engineers supporting our staff based in services across your patch.
Responsibilities
- Representing a professional front facing service to Action for Children staff across Scotland.
- Responsible for attending sites, providing technically focused support and solutions.
- Oversee the commissioning and de-commissioning of sites providing technical input and resource.
- Support the Service Desk in providing remote support when not out in the field.
- Maintain professional development through research of recent and relevant developments in Technology.
- Apply continuous improvements to service and processes.
- Provide direction and guidance to less experienced IT staff.
- Develop strong relationships with remote service users and being the Ambassador for the Action for Children IT department.
Qualifications
- Foundation Qualification in ITIL (or equivalent experience).
- Qualifications and/or experience of other Standards associated with IT best practice, such as ISO27001, the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR.
- Exceptional customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving complex computer related problems.
- Familiar with the use of Help Desk systems.
- Experience of working in a technical field-based role.
- Strong working knowledge of computer hardware and networks with expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Proficient technical knowledge of MS-Windows operating system, Office 365, Azure and Active Directory.
- Experience in the provisioning and troubleshooting of Wi‑Fi and basic networking, Cat5/6 cabling etc.
- Full driving licence is essential for this role.
