General Information
- Both mechanical and electrical experience
- Strong Industrial experience (minimum of 2 years, as long as they have other engineering experience as well)
- Qualifications – minimum of BTEC Level 3 or lower plus extensive industry experience.
- Food production is advantageous, but acknowledge that the pool is not large in the area, so as long as they have the basics the rest can potentially be taught
- Have to be ok doing shift work

- Will put themselves out, i.e. do what needs to be done without complaint

Electrical Experience Required
- Sensors (fixing)
- Motor swaps
- PLC experience (programming not required) PLC interrogation & modification required
- Fault investigation (up to PLC level)
- Inverter drives
- 3phase – installation & maintenance
- Fault finding
Mechanical Experience Required
- Bearings and pneumatics
- Conveyors (fixes and mends)
- Fabrication e.g. making brackets/ repairs
- Will be working on machinery such as:
- Robots
- Conveyors
- Mincers & Grinders
- Not much with hydraulics
Skills
- Servo drives and motors
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- Electrical/mechanical isolation procedures
- Team working
- Multi skilled
- Process environment trained / work history
Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ level 3 electrical engineering
- 17/18th edition wiring regulations
