Electronic Field Service Engineer – Car Parking Systems & Ticketing Equipment
Salary: £29,500 to £30,000 (On Target Earnings £33,000).
Job Overview
Following expansion, the company seeks a customer‑focused, highly motivated engineer responsible for developing customer relationships and servicing and maintaining high‑value, PC‑controlled capital equipment used in ticketing and payment machines.
Responsibilities
- Develop customer relationships and provide ongoing support.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance and fault‑finding.
- Repair a range of electronic and electro‑mechanical systems utilized in ticketing and payment machines.
- Maintain and service PC‑controlled capital equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a field service or technical support role with electronics, electro‑mechanical or PC‑controlled capital equipment.
- A technical qualification such as City & Guilds 224, ONC or HNC in Electronic / Electrical Engineering.
- Strong board‑level electronics fault‑finding and service skills.
- Good PC hardware knowledge and networking skills.
- Alternatively experience with wide range of capital equipment (ATM, gaming, vending, office equipment or PCs).
- Any exposure to coin‑operated mechanisms, note validators, ticketing machines, payment machines, automatic barriers or gates.
- Experience repairing car parking, ticketing or fare automation systems or automatic doors.
- Background from ex‑forces is welcomed.
