Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary/Grade: £40,606 - £47,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Larne
This position requires 4.5 days a week in the office.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Technical Sales Solutions team at Caterpillar (N.I.) situated at Larne. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within the Caterpillar Electric Power engineering team. As the first point of technical engagement, the Technical Sales team works directly with customers to develop and deliver bespoke, engineered, and costed solutions, balancing technical capability with commercial considerations and customer expectations. This role provides opportunities to develop within an experienced team on projects for various export markets. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will develop and deliver mechanical concepts and preliminary designs for electric power solutions, supporting early customer engagement and ensuring a smooth handover to execution and delivery teams. For the right candidate, this role will include opportunities to be the lead engineer on smaller electric power projects.
